There have been some very important developments in regard to Cochrane methodologies for assessing a study's risk of bias and for judging the quality of evidence. If you are currently working on a Cochrane review of an intervention, it is imperative that you develop a close relationship with the latest edition of the Cochrane Handbook. In particular, you should read Chapters 8-16 on assessing the risk of bias; testing for reporting bias; the GRADE approach; the GRADEpro software; and summary of findings tables.
