Ms. Gail Kennedy is Coordinator of the Cochrane Collaborative Review Group on HIV Infection and AIDS (Cochrane HIV/AIDS Group). As the coordinator, she oversees the work of a voluntary, international network of health care professionals, researchers, and consumers who prepare, maintain, and disseminate systematic reviews on the prevention and treatment of HIV infection and AIDS. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the review process (presently over 50 in all topic areas) - from developing the research question to facilitating international research collaborations to coordinating the peer reviewers. Ms. Kennedy coordinates the international editorial team of experts and represents the Cochrane HIV/AIDS Group at national and international AIDS meetings. The Cochrane HIV/AIDS Group is an affiliate of the Cochrane Collaboration, which is made up of other Collaborative Review Groups in other topic areas. Ms. Kennedy publicizes information about the Cochrane Collaboration and the HIV/AIDS Group, and functions as the liaison between the Cochrane HIV/AIDS group and other entities within the Cochrane Collaboration. Ms. Kennedy is also a Health Education Specialist for asthma programs in the California Department of
Health Services, Chronic Diseases Control Branch (DHS/CDCB), where she provides project oversight and
coordinates administrative, fiscal and project-related interactions between UCSF and DHS/CDCB regarding
asthma projects. She is a certified health educator and has experience with program evaluation and clinical
